TV Commercial Casting Essentials

These classes are designed for beginners, models and extras who wish to refine their commercial casting and general acting skills.

Audition technique sessions are filmed and reviewed with the class; participants are given their own tape to monitor and reflect on their progress.

Skills you will develop include:

Gareth's 10 rules of improv (Vital for TVC, personal and professional development)
Sight reading (How to read a script you have never seen before)
Basic voice (Tips for improving confidence and presentation)
Script analysis (How to interpret what the casting director wants)
Audition technique (How to be at your best, present yourself and feel confident)

COMMIT TO CHANGE IN 2010

These sessions are for anyone who is serious about learning and serious about improving their skill levels. Actors will become more confident as professionals and human beings. We go back to basics with in depth script analysis and exercises from the great teachers such as Stella Adler, Uta Hagen and Sanford Meisner, If you are new to acting you need these skills; if you have experience then you need to revisit these skills and practice, practice, practice in class.

Skills you will develop:

Script analysis (How to connect with and interpret your text)
Listening (Perhaps the most important skill of all)
Concentration (Closely related to listening)
Improvisation (Text and non text based)

Back to Basics Class starts Mon July 19th 2010
at 8pm

This course runs for 10 weeks with 1x 2 hour class per week @ Metro Arts, 109 Edward Street, Brisbane CBD. 10 students per class, $395 per student.

Private Classes
Gareth specialises in one on one classes to assist with auditions for drama school, film, TV, QTC, La Boite and for personal development at $60 per hour.
